Hi there! Welcome to my new blogpost at lilalicreates, where I turn my love for all things cute and kawaii into stickers, greeting cards, and more. I thought it was time to share a little about myself—the artist behind the creations!

Hello! 🥰

My name is Lina, and the creator behind all illustrations of lilalicreates! I'll write in another blog why I called my small business lilalicreates hihi. Usually people use their real name as artists. Anyway, I'm a Chinese Dutch, born and raised in The Netherlands (EU) and currently based in Rotterdam. I love how vibrant Rotterdam is, there are many different cultures mixed together. I really thrive in such diverse environments :)

I'm a self-taught illustrator. Back in 2017-2018 I purchased an iPad and started drawing with Procreate. But I didn't really put my focus on it, the past two years I have been seriously drawing more and more to rebuild my relationship with creativity! I had to deal with a lot of impostor thoughts (I still do!), but I'm really happy that I've embarked on this journey!

I'm a Gemini INFJ born in May! There was a time that I was really into horoscopes and MBTI, the algoritmn only showed MBTI memes and daily horoscopes 😅 The horoscopes rabbit hole inspired the Galaxy Jar Cat collection by the way! Check them out if you haven't.

If there is only one type of food that I have to eat for the rest of my life, it would be sushi! This year March I went to Japan and tried my first omakase (chef's choice menu) and it was amazing! It's the endless combinations of sushi rice, ingredients and the nori sheet perfectly combines them together. You can eat one in one bite. Okay, you get it now, I like sushi! 🤣

It's not a secret that I'm a cat person. I have a cute bodyguard cat named Luna. She is a quarter Mainecoon and is a tuxedocat. Why do I call her my bodyguard? Whenever I'm home, she has to be near me within 1 meter, otherwise you will become deaf because she turns into an meowy alarm 🐈‍⬛
