Getting Excited for Christmas! šŸŽ„āœØ

[5 min read]

It’s officially that time of year again—Christmas excitement is in the air! Streets in my neighborhood have already put upĀ twinkling lights, I spot some decorated christmas trees already and shops and cafes are too! The festive cheer has started to take over, and I can’t help but feel like everyone has skipped straight past Sinterklaas.

For those unfamiliar, Sinterklaas is a traditional Dutch holiday celebrated on December 5th. It’s a time when children leave their shoes out for small gifts, candy, and chocolate letters. The holiday is steeped in charming traditions, from rhyming poems to a parade featuring Sinterklaas and his helpers.

While it’s still an important celebration here in the Netherlands, it feels like Christmas is stealing the spotlight earlier and earlier every year. And honestly? I’m not mad about it—I’m all for stretching out the holiday joy!

(Big) Christmas PlansĀ

After a bit of a hiatus dealing with real-life stuff (we’ve all been there), I’m back and so excited to share what I’ve been working on for my christmas shop update:

  • Christmas Stickers: Expect the cutest holiday-themed designs to make your season even merrier.
  • Greeting Cards: Because nothing beats a handwritten card for spreading Christmas cheer.
  • A Small 2025 Calendar: I’m toying with the idea of a mini calendar featuring cute illustrations for each month—it’s perfect for starting the new year with a smile! No promises, let me see if I can make this happen!

I’ve been sketching and brainstorming like crazy, and I can’t wait to bring these ideas to life. While I had hoped to start earlier on this collection, life had other plans. But better late than never, right?

I’m diving back into drawing with even more enthusiasm, fueled by the festive spirit all around me. Keep an eye out for sneak peeks of my upcoming designs—they’re sure to add a little sparkle to your holiday season!Ā Let me know what kind of Christmas-themed items you’d love to see in my shop—I’d love to hear your ideas! šŸŽ
