My December Doodle a Day December Journey | Happy New Year! ✨

December was a month filled with creativity, coziness, and daily doodles! ❄️🎄 
I challenged myself to a December Doodle-a-Day journey organised by @ellolovey, sketching something new every day throughout the month. It was both fun and challenging, but most of all, it helped me stay inspired and enjoy the little moments of the holiday season.

From festive treats to cute winter animals, each doodle reflected the cozy vibes of December. Some days, ideas flowed effortlessly, while on others, I had to push myself to create—but that’s what made it such a great experience!

In this blogpost I will share with you my favo doodles and some that I think could be doodled better! In the image below you can find the prompts for December/

Favorite doodles:

Cup of Cheer
Okay, to be honest I didn't know what a cup of cheer was, so I had to google it and it is just literally a cup! I added whipped cream, a gingerbread man cookie and a peppermint candy cane. I added the last tiny bow as a finishing touch. Who knew it started my era of drawing bows!

 

Decorating
For this doodle I wanted to have a cute something decorate Christmas pudding, Lo and behold, Gingerbunny was born! Gingerbunny is one of the most nice and cute thing I drew during this challenge. And ofcourse I didn't forget the bow :)

Frosty
For this doodle I immediately thought about a snowman outside the window! I added a candle and some snow that piled up against the window. It's a cute doodle :)

Ornaments
Say hello the the mochi ornaments! I wanted to make Christmas cards with the mochi brothers, but it didn't work out, so I drew them during the challenge! Look how cute they are, my favorite is the pink one holding antlers haha.

Sugar cookies
Hi again, gingerbunny! I thought it would be nice to draw some dough and baked cookies for the day. And someone already has stolen a bite!

Peppermint
This doodle is all about Gingerbunny standing on and holding peppermint! The cute bow couldn't be absent haha

Tree
For this doodle I think I drew the outline of the tree differently then the other doodles, but still very cute with the lights and the bows! The tuxedocat in the tree is inspired by my own cat called Luna! Such a cute drawing :)

Twinkle
Saying twinkel, makes me think of 'Twinkle twinkle little star'! So I drew very cute stars for this day! And every star has it's own expression.

Stockings
As you can see, Gingerbunny is popular! The sticking is filled with Gingerbunny, candy, gifts and more! I love the silly yet cute expression of the red stocking itself :)

Gingerbread
Do you see three ginger bunnies? YES! Wanted to draw lots and lots of cute ginger bunnies with scarves, hats and winterwear.

Ice skating
The three mochi brothers are ice skating for the first time! I can't seem to get enough from the dynamic expressions that the mochi's have, priceless!

Bedtime story
Polly the polar bear is dreaming away on a cloud, after reading a bedtime story! Such a cute drawing :)

Merry
I haven't drawn a snow globe in a long long time, so I thought it would be nice to draw one cozy and cute snow glove again!

Polar bear
Polly the polar bear is making snow angels in the fresh snow! I mean, why not and have fun!

Snug
A bear and a bunny snuggling together and using one scarf? Yes please! This is such a cute drawing! Look at the expression of the bear hahaha.

Sparkle
Tadaaaaa, the last drawing of the December Doodle A Day! On my instagram post, you can find my thoughts about this whole challenge :)

 

Some less favorite doodles I made:

Pajamas
Okay, I remember being very displeased with this doodle, since it didn't live up to how I envisioned this drawing. I mean I love the pajama, socks and, the sleep mask, but somehow the color doesn't match with the background...

Storefront
Maybe I used too much pink here! I somehow just didn't like how this doodle turned out ...

Holiday Recipe
I like Gingerbunny, I kinda like how the matcha tiramisu looks like, the strawberries, not so much. I also don't like the recipe on the back. Maybe the color is too strong and throwing the whole doodle off balance.
